Thank you for participating in the Cal Fleet Advisor program, a public technical assistance initiative aimed at promoting zero-emission transportation solutions across the state of California. We value your engagement and commitment to sustainability.

As part of our mission to support the transition to cleaner transportation options, we want to inform you of important aspects of this program:

1. Data Usage and Sharing:

By participating in the Cal Fleet Advisor program, you acknowledge and agree that data collected may be combined with data from other fleets and shared by the state of California. This data is used for research and analysis to identify barriers to the adoption of zero-emission transportation technologies. Any data shared will be anonymized and only be used for improving transportation and clean air policies.

If fleets decide they would like their contact information shared with local utilities, dealers, OEMs, etc. express permission by the fleet owner or manager will be required. Your consent is vital in any such data sharing.  Fleet-specific information will not be shared with any outside organization without your consent, unless required by law.

By subscribing to Cal Fleet Advisor you consent to receive email communications from the program and occasionally, you will receive other emails regarding upcoming events and opportunities related to the clean transportation industry.

2. No Endorsement of Products or Services:

Advice, recommendations, or information provided through the Cal Fleet Advisor program are solely for informational purposes and do not constitute an endorsement of any product or service. We do not endorse specific brands, manufacturers, or suppliers. Our aim is to provide impartial, unbiased guidance to support your efforts in adopting zero-emission vehicles.

While we strive to offer accurate and up-to-date information, it is your responsibility to conduct your own research and practice due diligence when considering products or services for your fleet. We encourage you to evaluate and choose solutions that best meet your unique needs and requirements.

3. Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnification:

By participating in the Cal Fleet Advisor Program you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the State of California, CARB, and CALSTART  including their representatives and assigns, for and from any and all liabilities, losses, damages, claims and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of, resulting from or related to any actions or inactions relating to  advice, recommendations, or information provided through the Cal Fleet Advisor program, as well as actions or inactions arising out of or resulting from the operation, design or manufacture of any equipment, vehicles or engine purchased, acquired, developed, modified, or used with State funds, in whole or in part.
